Thanks to everyone who has helped, we now have all the lavender cut, bunched and drying in our barn, it feels like there is a purple cloud in there and sweet smelling one at that! Although it was a race against the weather to get it all in, a field that was once purple and green is now just green again,it did look beautiful and I was amazed by the amount of bees and butterflies enjoying the flowers, I am sure it was like being in a chocolate factory for them, so someone somewhere is going to have a delicious crop of lavender honey 
Now we will be supplying our customers with dried bunches and loose flowers as well as keeping the plants weeded and grass rows mowed. No rest for the wicked here you know!
