What We Do
Here at Bryn Pedol we have planted four varieties of lavender:
Grosso
Royal Purple
Imperial Gem
This is a compact & bushy English Lavender; adorned with tightly packed rich purple flowers (One of my favourites because of its colour) a neat petite bouquet is made with this variety and looks great in a dried arrangement. Bees just love these flowers.
Maillette
A true Lavender highly prized by aromatherapists for its sweet perfume and healing oil. This startling iridescent blue English lavender is a world favourite. I mainly use Maillette and Grosso flowers in my cooking and baking. It also looks fabulous in a dried bouquet.
Grosso
A striking blue-purple bushy flowering lavender, on
long slender stems, makes for an elegant bouquet. also used in cooking. The most widely grown oil producing lavender in the world.

Royal Purple
A striking variety with long, purple flowers that retain their colour long after drying. This aromatic, medicinal variety is great for sachets, perfumes, tinctures and the like.

We have our eye on a couple of other very interesting white & pink varieties and will keep you informed.
All these plants have been chosen for their individuality, versatility, hardiness and excellent scent.
They also make beautiful bouquets which can be hung around the home or in vases. The lavender bunches will keep their scent for a year; by then you will be ready to replace them with fresh ones from us! The old ones can be burnt on the open fire or the barbecue and will release their final aroma.
We also sell loose flower heads these can be used in many ways: Cooking, infusions, mouthwash, sprays, lavender bags, Potpourri...the list is endless and we will be posting suggestions and recipes on our Lavender News Page.
